Spiros Halaris

Jil Sander SS11 - Illustrated.

We previously blogged on Spiros Halaris back in June when his 'Neighbourhood of the Woods' illustration series first caught our attention. Since then Spiros' portfolio has been growing.

Most recently he translated the Jil Sander SS11 show from finished garments back to thier humble origins as sketches.

Even when returned to illustrated form the garments still attack the senses as clever use of shadowing allows you to almost feel the silk in your hands, as the light dances off the fabric creating a sheen. Watercolours bleed, as inky prints continue to radiate.

I love how Spiros manages to incoroprate the movement and natural lines of the fabric in a way that allows you to effectively feel as if the garment is hanging before you in it's finished form.
