Psycho Honey

There is something so disturbingly wrong about these photos, but something so seductively right.  For me, if I can’t take my eyes off a photo, and I analyse all body language, every facial expression and examine every inch of the story, I know I’m on to a winner.  Photography for me can be like a drug, but a cheaper, healthier one that is not likely to lead to a stint in rehab and a twitch (I can only hope).

This photo shoot entitled ‘Psycho Honey’ that is currently on the Vice website, was taken by London based photographer Cosmo Alexander. I absolutely love the concept behind this shoot. I love the stark contrast of blood red, and the notion that something f*cked up is going on, alongside the stunning brunette, with her deep dark eyes complete with Agent Provocateur and Coco De Mer lingerie. I love the location, with its low budget feel, paint and graffiti splattered walls with beautifully coloured flowers and randomly placed paintings and fabrics.  Basically there is nothing that I don’t love about this.
