Swarovski Crystallized -Issue 14
Sparkle socks and Swarovski in abundance. Anybody who has interned with me will know ALL about these hot fix crystal elements… from the ridiculously minute to the faceted weightier ones, they are a pain (serious understatement) to work with, but the result, I’m sure you will agree is amazing; and dare I say it- worth all the hours at the iron and accurate placement with tweezers. Beautifully twinkling and catching the light- they add instant luxe to whatever they are applied to.
Perhaps my love/hate relationship with Swarovski elements is what drew me to this editorial at first glance. The sepia hues and glittering elements create the atmosphere of a 20’s flapper club, filled with cigar smoke and “scotch on the rocks”. An instant ‘folding of the corners’ in the Swarovski Crystallized Magazine SS10 (Issue 14) I just love the shadow and contrasting shine, reminiscent of our own main fashion editorial this month for “The Shining Issue”. Thanks all at Starworks PR for this fantastic freebie; so good I shall be forking out the £13 next time.
