Phenomenon
Phenomenon SS11 takes you on a journey to the great outdooors as your camping equipment comes embedded in your clothing as you suspect you might just be able to use your jacket to pitch a tent, while should you find yourself thrown overboard as you kayak down the river you also have a trustee inflatable jacket at hand.
What I love about this collection is its sense of humour as they even incorporate the embarrassment of traditional tourist attire and 80's workout gear, the fannypack.
Picnic baskets also make an appearance as the humble wicker basket applies itself in the form of cuffs, a waistcoat and a fannypack to the body. The visor and the typical camp bandanas of your youth also show up in the woods as you rediscover the joys of the rain mac.
And maybe it's just me but in places I find the trousers and shorts reminding me of leaves as these boys stranded in the forest are forced to be resourceful and create garments that nod to Adam and Eve.
This collection is making me rethink my preconceived notions about camping and making it look well, rather appealing.
