Man's Wonders
I love the decadence of Nicoline Patricia's photography, how even in her more humble fashion editorials of supposed 'peasant' life no lavish detail is spared. Patricia's photo's take natural landscapes and extravagant man-made structures and make them appear as if they are sets which have been specifally constructed for the shoot taking place.
The sheer opulence of couture-esque gowns billowing against a wonder of the ancient world is rather awe-inspiring. While even her nomads in the foothills adhere to a luxe aesthetic.
Her images I feel have a wonderous quality to them as you question whether such places could exist while there is a timeless classic appeal to her photography which is steeped in romanticism.
While currently based in Indonesia, Nicoline Patricia is bound to be a name you see creeping further West soon.
