Love Land Invaders

Ralph Lagoi & Kate Lace

Earth has been invaded by the "Love Land Invaders" in Lagoi & Lace's latest project. However these 'aliens' are far from stereotypical.

These beings hide their identity behind masks created by the duo as they explore their new surroundings. They conquer Japan's love hotel rooms and play in their new territory.

Glasses, shields, armour, jewellery, masks and ribbons courtesy of prop/graphic designers and photographers Lagoi & Kate adorn these creatures.

I love how through their props and photo manipulation the pair depict a sci-fi digital world, as they merge elements of pop art with graphic design.

Their images are what I imagine would happen if the world inside a kaleidiscope escaped and applied itself to a room.
