Lamija Suljevic

Lamija Suljevic
Debuting during Stockholm Fashion Week, Bosnian designer Lamija Suljevic's Parisian lookbook has me coveting her sculptural one-off pieces and Slavic-inspired jewellery. I love her artesian aesthetic, that combined with black and white photography exudes an austere elegance and beauty. Her entirely hand-made pieces show intricate braiding, embroidery and lace detailing, providing a soft contrast to the Ghesquiere reminiscent silhouette.

I’m especially craving the Prada-esque turbans and might try to DIY one myself one with layered jersey fabric. The handcrafting, also seen on the platform shoes, is the highlight of Lamija’s talent, and will most definitely surpass fast fashion trends.
