Hermione de Paula - The Film

While in studio with Hermione last we began talking about powerful catwalk shows and the idea of incorporating film and projections. Thinking back to her SS11 film I asked Hermione how it was being brought forward for AW11. To which she invited me to be a fly on the wall at her film meeting.

I'm really excited to work with Zaiba for my film as it is an integral part of my A/W11 event, we are focusing on a mood piece that really captures the signature of the label and essence of the season.  A film can be a lot more emotive then a show (until you can do a McQueen style production!) plus you have complete control...There will be a feeling of romantic suspense and purgatory this season.

The meeting went really well - starting late as Zaiba had to run straight from another shoot and Madeleine and I were tired after a long day.

I had been working on my Nicholas Kirkwood printed shoes to match the collection manically meeting the deadline for the printers! So we treated ourselves to a 'Screwdriver' (Glens has never sounded so fancy!)

I showed the girls images and particularly one that I'm currently obsessed with - I'm not sure where it is from - it got introduced to me by a friend like a blind date - and I have fallen in love...I re-enacted it to the girls with a bit of silk tulle ...unfortunately my take was not quite as ethereal!
