Graduate Fashion Week 2010 - Day 2 - Northbrook / Salford

Northbrook / Salford

Northbrook and Salford took a rather darker edge to the day, with Alex Dubell showing Superhero-like spidery shapes in the form of coats and jackets or on top of dark blue glitter dresses and shirts. Whereas Rhea Fields made girls into boys and back again thanks to a lot of nude and black patent leather and quite a few bow ties.

The actual boys of the show were all rather Mediterranean inspired, either in the form of Sicilian farm boys by Helena Yazdian-Tehrani’s collection who’s clothes I could easily imagine passing by on a Vespa in that Chaos of Italy’s traffic or in a more subdued Grecian traditional costume inspired way of Emma Bowering.

Oh and there was quite a lot of glitter, sportswear gone year 2045 and a mix of eastern and western culture, or so does the Northbrook show pamphlet say about Lara Fuller.
