Fashion156.com Guest Contributor - Anja Mlakar: My Top 5 Costumes.

Anja Mlakar

Today we follow on from our interview with Anja on Monday where she told us how she'd love to stage a show with models jumping from the Flatiron building and how she would like to incorporate air conditioning into clothing. Considering how the farthingale had a significant presence in her AW 11/12 collection, we decided to ask Anja more about her fondness for costumes, prompting her to share her 5 favourite costumes.

Mary Tudor - I love the craftsmanship from that time and how women looked so powerful in dresses which revealed so little.

Driver costume from the Triadic ballet in 1922 by Oscar Schlemmer - It was very surreal for the time when it was made but I think it fits perfectly in our world today.

Velazquez painting of the little Magarita Teresa - I love the huge disproportionate skirt and the heavy beading.

Torero (bullfighter) outfit - I think it is one of the most romantic costumes for men.

Betty Boop - I think her look fits quite well with fashion today.
