Love List
Continuing on from our Inspiration List on Tuesday where we put the spotlight on all things London, today in the run up to LFW we continue this by sharing our London related loves.
Following on from my mention of how old b&w movies were inspiring me, I'm looking forward to this Silent Films season at central London's Prince Charles Cinema.
Bourne & Hollingsworth - Liquer and cocktails served in teapots and china mugs. Definitely worth a visit next time you're in the Covent Garden area.
Eighteen Nightmares at the Lux - love the playful and slightly psychedelic energy of their music.
Submarine - A coming of age story, marking the directorial debut of Richard Ayoade, tipped to be the British comedy/drama of the year.
Trullo - A great local restaurant I found through this site.
The British Art Show returns to London for the first time in 21 years, featuring the best of British art right now. From photography to sculpture by artists like Wolfgang Tilmus and Alasdair Gray (pictured) you can catch it at the Hayward Gallery in the Southbank Centre until 17th April.
Food Glorious Food exhibition at the Museum of Childhood - can feel the Oliver lyrics on the tip of my tongue at the thought of this....
Monmouth Coffee Shop in Covent Garden is ideal for a relaxing, homely coffee to escape the frenzy of Fashion Week. With their sustainable approach, it's guilt-free, too.
The motto of Secret Cinema, a monthly screening/theatrical happening in unusual venues is "tell no one". The locations remain secret until the last minute and the film making a trip to the cinema much more exciting.
Kent Baker I love the sincerity in this series of photos from Kent Baker. With the AW11/12 collections coming up next week, the beauty of these photos seems very fitting.
