ALL ABOUT COLOUR
With the SS 11 shows upon us the focus is firmly on colour. We have already seen some colour slowly trickling in for A/W 2010 courtesy of designers like Ana Locking and Holly Fulton. For SS 11 it is becoming ever more visible indicating a rising optimism.
So far we've had pastels from Dion Lee and colour with humour from Peter Jensen and Wood Wood. Even Acne embraced colour at their mens SS 11 show. While Jil Sander and Prada have gone a step further introducing menswear to neon brights.
Colour continued to reign at New York Fashion Week so far as illustrated by Peter Som and Prabal Gurung.
Not content to wait until SS 11 we shall begin our technicolour rainbow now looking to designers like Erdem, Micheal Van der Ham, Manish Arora and Balenciaga for assistance in brightening our Winter wardrobes.
The future is bright.
