TROPICAL PRINTS
If soft, pretty florals leave you cold then there is a alternative emerging from the recent collections. Inspired by flora associated with tropical climes and jungles, designers from Givenchy to name to watch Maarten Van Der Horst presented flower and leaf prints of the more angular and forceful variety. 
The bloom of choice is the Bird of Paradise and these often stand out printed on stark dark backgrounds. For summer 2012, the look seems to be emerging into the light as seen at Givenchy on vibrant white. A look we are witnessing more and more on the streets and one we feel will strengthen next season.
