It was only much, much later that I found out the "blossoms" were actually prostitutes - a pretty but pointed label for an industry trading on the fast-fading, grimily-purchased bloom of innocence and youth.

What at first appeared to be a simple play on irony and bad taste – much like Miuccia Prada’s Spring 2012 South Pacific golf homage in psychedelic, LSD prints, tweeds and gem-peppered shoes – mastered a balanced androgyny.
NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY
Floral prints have thus adopted a more threatening, tougher undertone. The flower is no longer a delicate assortment of pastel-pink petals, but instead it is one that can withstand the harsher conditions of Autumn/Winter.
